John Lennon 267585-335012

John Ono Lennon, né John Winston Lennon le 9 octobre 1940 à Liverpool et mort assassiné le 8 décembre 1980 à New York, est un auteur, compositeur, guitariste, pianiste et chanteur, fondateur des Beatles, groupe phare des années 1960 et de la culture pop/rock, qu'il quitte en septembre 1969. Après la fin du groupe, il se consacre à diverses actions pour la paix avec sa compagne Yoko Ono et à l'enregistrement de plusieurs albums solo, dont le célèbre Imagine. Ses deux fils, Julian et Sean Lennon, sont également musiciens et chanteurs.

Près de trente ans après sa mort, il incarne l'engagement profond et marquant du mouvement pacifiste Peace and Love des années 1970, et un rassemblement à sa mémoire continue d'avoir lieu à New York chaque 8 décembre.
